Living in this beautiful country of ours, we get to experience all 4 seasons. Initially Sara + Andrew wanted to do a fall engagement session to take advantage of the beautiful fall colours. The night before our session however there was a snowstorm and it blanketed everything with snow. &nbsp;There was some concerns about how bad the roads would be, but when I got the text from Sara in the morning that they were still good to go, I started pumping my fists in the air! Outdoors couldn't look any better, and loved how the session turned out. No sense in resisting the weather. Just gotta go out there and embrace it!

I'd like to introduce you to Kristia &amp; Jaemaela who recently allowed me to capture a few wonderful moments between the two of them. It was really amazing the way they would look at eachother and and giggle amonst themselves. It was a treat to be with them and capture these photos. We started off at <a href="https://www.cscomps.on.ca/Individual_pages/Canada/Ontario/Hamilton/Argyll_Pavilion.htm">Argyll &amp; Sutherland Highlanders Memorial Pavilion</a> in <a href="https://www.iadamgrant.com">Hamilton Ontario</a> for some beautiful sunkissed photos before heading over to campus of <a href="https://www.mcmaster.ca">McMaster University</a> to wrap up the engagement session which was pure magic.

I first met Amanda at her brother&rsquo;s wedding about 5 years prior and it really meant a lot to me when she hired me to shoot hers as it made me feel that I had earned the family's trust. I guess thats a sign that they they really liked the photos :) .

Now I gotta say, I really am thankful that I had that I was granted the opportunity to shoot this wedding as it was one of my favourite ones to shoot to date. The site for Amanda and Michael's wedding was at their family cottage and if you've been following me at all, you know that I absolutely love outdoor weddings. The backdrop of Ontario's Cottage Country provided the perfect setting for such an intimate backyard wedding. The ceremony took place on the lakefront dock in front of their family and friends. Even some neighbouring lake goers took in parts of the ceremony from the vantage point of their water crafts before they eventually went about their business. Shortly after Amanda &amp; Michael took a couple moments to spend a few peaceful moments by themselves by riding a canoe. I was really tempted to go on a ride with them, but figured knowing my luck, it wouldn't be in anyone's interest to accept the high possiblity of me accidentally capsizing it.

The festivities continued well into the night with dinner and reception under a large wedding tent. The couple of honour then took to the centre of the floor with their first dance before leading everyone to party on well into the night.

Intimate Wedding | Ontario Cottage Country | Amanda + Michael

The day started off in <a href="https://www.iadamgrant.com/">Richmond Hill</a> with Meghann &amp; Jonathan getting ready at their respective places on a beautiful October day. There was a strong sense of anticipation and anxiousness in the air as they were looking forward to the moment they would finally get to see eachother dressed in their absolute finest after months of planning.

The beginning of their dreams would soon be realized as we headed over to Richmond Green Park for their first look. Was such a touching moment when the first layed eyes on each other for the first time. Perhaps equally as touching was witnessing how their wedding party reacted with such genuine excitement to the first look. After we all enjoyed the magnitude of the moment we headed to downtown Toronto to <a href="https://torontounion.ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Union Station</a> to snap a few photos before we ended up at our final destination at the <a href="https://enochturnerschoolhouse.ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Enoch Turner School House</a> for the ceremony and reception. Now I've witnessed a lot of ceremony in my photography career, but I tell ya this one had me... well lets just say I'm sure someone was cutting onions near by.

I've always loved shooting outdoor weddings and the <a href="https://www.cavespring.ca">Cave Spring Vineyard</a> in <a href="https://iadamgrant.com">Jordan Ontario</a> provides a perfect venue for couples to get married. You may remember <a href="https://www.iadamgrant.com/blog/bronte-creek-oakville-engagement">Andrea and Chris</a> from a previous blog post where I shared their <a href="https://www.iadamgrant.com/blog/bronte-creek-oakville-engagement">engagement photos</a> at <a href="https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/brontecreek">Bronte Creek Provincial Park</a> in Oakville.

On this day both Andrea and Chris got ready at <a href="https://www.vintage-hotels.com/inn-on-the-twenty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Inn on the Twenty</a>, where they also shared their "first look" together. Shortly after we headed over to the <a href="https://www.cavespring.ca">Cave Spring Vineyard</a> for the wedding ceremony. Originally the ceremony was supposed to take place outside in the actual vineyard, but the winds were super strong on this day and as a precaution the ceremony was held indoors. After the vowes were exchanged and they took their first steps together as husband and wife, they headed back to the <a href="https://www.vintage-hotels.com/inn-on-the-twenty/">Inn on the Twenty</a> for the reception. Autumn Wedding | Cave Spring Vineyard | Andrea + Chris

I just have to say that I love shooting intimate weddings at the <a href="https://www.honsbergerestate.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Honsberger Estate venue</a> in <a href="https://iadamgrant.com">Jordan Ontario</a>. With its rustic charm and the natural beauty of the vineyard as a backdrop... oh and the amazing staff and food as well, I cant wait until the I shoot my next wedding there. Kelsea + Matthew's wedding was a beautiful experience. Kelsea got ready with the help of her mom for her big day near by at the <a href="https://www.vintage-hotels.com/inn-on-the-twenty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Inn on the Twenty</a>, and her father was in tears seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress. From there we then headed over to <a href="https://www.honsbergerestate.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Honsberger</a> for the intimate outdoor wedding ceremony where she shared a first look experience with her soon to be husband Matthew. After an emotional ceremony they enjoyed the company of their friends and family and danced into the night to begin their journey together in the next stage of their lives. I'd say that most of the newborn sessions I shoot are shot are typically in the coziness of a family's home. Having said that, I do just as much enjoy outdoor family sessions. This is especially true when the session takes place in a beautiful park such as the <a href="https://arboretum.uoguelph.ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Arboretum</a> Gardens at the <a href="https://www.uoguelph.ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of Guelph</a>. With lots of lush greenery, a beautiful garden to walk through, along with a fountain that provided a unique backdrop, it was such experience capturing moments with this newly expanded family. There is nothing like witnessing the unconditional love that parents have for their child. And its a tremendous honour to capture such precious moments.

Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville is one of my favourite locations to shoot engagement sessions. Apart from the occassional deer family walking by, it's secluded, tranquil and to me, it provides the perfect backdrop where the couples can just focus on themselves without any distractions. Couples are usually hesitant on winter engagement sessions but I love them as its always nice to do something different and the results always seems to work out great. Really enjoyed buy time with Andrea &amp; Chris, and later that year they would be married under much warmer temperatures on a perfectly beautiful fall day.

Family Life Style Session | 1 Hour

I highly recommend engagement sessions for each of my clients not just because I like taking pretty photos, but because it also allows us to get to know each other which is important. As much as I have my own vision, I try to individualize each shoot based on the couples personality. Sessions usually last anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half, and by the end of the session, not only will you learn to appreciate my humour, but its the perfect way to find out what makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. And the bonus is that on your wedding day, we will feel like we've been friends for years!

Engagement & Couple Session

Expecting a new bundle of joy? Or perhaps you know someone who is and would like to purchase a new born package as gifts. Whether it's their tiny fingers and toes or their adorable smiles, these moments are fleeting and deserve to be cherished forever. You can have a session in the comfort and privacy of your own home if desired. This session can also be bundled with a Maternity session for a combined price of $575.

Newborn Session

Pregnancy is an exciting time, as it is filled with anticipation, emotions with a touch of anxiety. I love capturing the glow and connection between you and your soon to be bundle of joy. While I typically I'd suggest sunrise or sunset sessions. Even in home sessions provide a great backdrop for photos. This session can also be bundled with a Newborn session for a combined price of $575. All edited high resolution photos are made available via a private gallery link. Prints, albums and many other options are made available via self serve
